Become a Red25 donor champion

Thank you for wanting to lead the charge.

Red25 is a life-saving social responsibility program where workplaces, community groups and universities around Australia unite to save lives through blood donation.

By championing blood donation in your organisation or community you’ll become a Red25 Coordinator. You get to rally your group to save lives together. It’s an amazing feeling!

No matter how big or small your group is, you are helping to secure Australia’s blood supply.

What is a Red25 Coordinator and what do they do?

You’ll be a champion for blood donation in your organisation or community group.

  • You’ll coordinate, promote and motivate your Red25 group.
  • You’ll be able to coordinate and manage group bookings easily online
  • You’ll have access to tools and resources to help recruit blood donors.
  • You’ll be our main contact, and we’ll be in touch with you regularly about news, events, competitions and calls for donation.
  • You don’t need to be an expert on blood donation, or a blood donor. Our Red25 team is here to give you the help you need.

Why be a Red25 Coordinator?

It’s a unique leadership opportunity. It’s the chance to lead a meaningful cause and be recognised for it within your organisation and community.

Being a Red25 Coordinator is something to really be proud of.

How we support you

It’s easy to start championing blood donation! We’ll provide all the tools you need to rally your team and make coordination easy, including:

  • Red25 Coordinator Handbook, including information on blood, the types of donation, who it helps, who can donate, how blood donation works, how to book group donations, ideas to motivate your group and more.
  • Onsite presentations and Q&A sessions conducted by a Community Relations Officer. Team or office meetings are often a great place to discuss and promote group donation.
  • Presentations by people who have received donated blood. Meeting a patient and hearing their story is one of the most powerful ways to inspire blood donation.
  • Red25 promotional collateral. This includes posters, email templates, social media tiles, screensavers, newsletter/intranet articles and more.
  • Brochures. Topics include why blood donation is so important and how donations are used.
  • Downloadable resources. Downloadable collateral, reference guides and more are at your fingertips!

Getting started

  1. Register an individual account or login. You don’t need to be a blood donor to do this.

If your organisation doesn’t have a Red25 group yet:

  1. Follow the steps on the Register a new group page, making sure you include your contact details.

If there’s already a Red25 group:

You’ll need to join the group and request to become a Red25 Coordinator. A Red25 group can have more than one Coordinator.

  1. Once you’re logged in, go to ‘RED25 Group’ in the top menu and click ‘My RED25.’
  2. If you haven’t already joined the group, next to the ‘Your Red25 Organisation’ heading, start typing your group’s name into the grey box. When your group appears in the supplied options, click on it and press ‘Submit’.
  3. In the section below, ‘Become A Red25 Group Coordinator’, enter your group name and your preferred contact details, then click ‘Submit’. One of our Red25 team will be in touch to welcome you and help you get started.

Thank you for championing donation!
